Arts professional experience

March-July 2007 The Lost Stitch
A film produced in collaboration with Studio163.
Part of seven digital shorts commissioned by FABRIC in conjunction with Bmedia and the BBC Big Screen.
October 2006 Young Brits At Art
A national art competition organised by the Commission for racial equality.
Artist residency; working with The Ridings School, Halifax, to create self portraits based on experimental drawing techniques. The winning entries in a new schools’ art competition exploring Britishness were announced at the Royal Albert Hall, London, on 17 October 2006.

May 2005 Artist exchange between Bradford, England and Ham, Germany
A twin town project between Cartwright hall, Bradford and the city of Hamm Germany. For seven artists from each town to accompany their work for exhibition. This included a live demonstration of my drawing skills.

February- Australia
April 2005 Two months focusing on Australian culture and natural history. Outcomes include tutorial from artist and head of Brisbane Art College sketchbook work and future project ideas.

January 2005 Artist in residence at Russel Hall Primary School, Wakefield
To plan and deliver workshops to each class in school over the duration of a week. To produce an art book incorporating a selection of works produced by each year group.

August-December Education Outreach Officer, Calderdale Museums and
2004 Arts (temporary 6 month contract)
To develop and deliver programmes based on the resources of the Museums and Gallery Section. To encourage participation in creative learning activities in all sections of the community.
